Websites for Integrative Health & Wellness Practitioners

WordPress websites support your booking flow, help the right clients find you, and power a scalable, robust web presence.

If your site is just a digital business card, that’s a lot of missed opportunity.

Most wellness practitioners I work with have the same problem: they’re good at what they do, their current clients love them, and their website has nothing to do with why. New clients find them through Instagram, word of mouth, or a directory listing — and when those people visit the website, it doesn’t quite match what they were expecting.

A website that works for your practice explains your modalities in language that makes sense to someone who’s never tried them. It answers the questions people ask before they commit: what to expect, how much it costs, whether it’ll help with what they’re dealing with. And it gives visitors a clear, easy path to booking, without making them hunt for your contact information or guess what to do next.

Healthcare team planning content

What I do for wellness practitioners

We’ll keep the website process focused and manageable, so you can keep caring for clients while your new site comes together.

Search engine optimization & local SEO

The keywords that matter most for a solo wellness practitioner or small studio aren’t the big broad ones, they’re the more specific ones. “Reiki for stress and burnout in [city],” “deep tissue massage for runners [neighborhood],” “acupuncture for fertility [region].” I help you figure out how your potential clients actually search and make sure your local presence is set up to support them.

Content strategy and copywriting

Most wellness practitioners don’t need to write more content, but they do need better quality pages, structured in the right way. I help you describe your modalities in plain language that builds trust without oversimplifying what you do. We’ll also talk through intake forms, email list connections, and any other tools you use so everything works together seamlessly.

Accessibility conformance

I build to WCAG 2.1 AA, test with automated and manual methods, and train your team on the basics. This helps to reduce your exposure and aligns your site with the same care you bring to client work.

What it’s like to work with me

Based in Chautauqua County, NY, I serve solo wellness practitioners and small studios throughout the United States. I’ve worked with healthcare and wellness professionals for over 20 years, long enough to understand that your marketing has to fit how your practice works, not the other way around.

Strategies that fit your reality

Before I recommend anything, I want to understand your services, your clients, and your capacity. The content plan we build together will be one you and your team can maintain.

Responsive communication

You work directly with me, not a project coordinator or account manager. Decisions get written up in plain language. We schedule regular meeting times that fit with your schedule.

Decisions backed by data

I use Google Search Console, your site analytics, and keyword research to guide decisions. You’ll understand why we’re doing what we’re doing, and you’ll be able to see the results.

At launch, I walk you through exactly how to manage your site and provide video and written documentation. Ongoing support is available in pre-paid blocks of time or with monthly or annual site maintenance subscriptions.

FAQs about your therapy practice website

How long does it take to build an therapy practice website?

Custom WordPress websites can take 4-6 weeks or 6-8 months. This process includes discovery, design, development, content creation, and thorough testing.

Request a complimentary call with me and we can review your current site and needs.I’ll provide a clear proposal and timeline after our initial consultation.

Do you understand HIPAA and PHI requirements for websites?

I’m not a compliance attorney, but I’ve worked with healthcare professionals long enough to understand the considerations around forms, email, scheduling integrations, and content. I’ll help you think through your setup and flag anything worth discussing with a compliance professional.

Will I lose my current Google rankings if we redesign?

A well-managed migration protects your existing visibility. We’ll keep URLs consistent where possible, redirect anything that changes, and monitor Search Console through the transition. Most sites maintain or improve their rankings with better structure and clearer content.

I make sure that your website is optimized for local search by including Google Business profile integration, researching local keywords for services, and developing location-specific content. This work helps you rank in local organic search when potential clients are looking for accounting services in your area.

We can also review other tools in the SEO tool-belt to help you achieve your search goals, including AI overviews and how social platforms factor into the bigger brand picture.

How can we use a blog without having to write every week?

We’ll identify a small set of high‑value topics, like complex issues your ideal clients always ask about, and build those into your site structure. That way, even a handful of well‑chosen articles can support your services, show your expertise, and give you something meaningful to share in email and social, without turning you into a full‑time writer.

Is the website optimized for search engines?

Every website I build includes foundational SEO including optimized page titles, meta descriptions, local business schema, and mobile-friendly design.

We also optimize content for AI search tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google’s AI overviews, ensuring potential clients can find you whether they’re using traditional search engines or AI-powered search tools when looking for accounting services in your area.

You don’t need to become an SEO expert — I’ll help you understand what we’re doing and why.

Can I update the website content myself?

Absolutely. I always want to empower my clients to own and update their content. Custom websites are built on WordPress with user-friendly editing tools. I provide training and documentation so you can easily update service pages, and publish content without calling me every time.

Do you provide website hosting or do I need my own?

I can work with select existing hosting providers or recommend managed WordPress hosts that specialize in professional service websites. I’ll guide you through the technical requirements and help ensure your hosting meets security and performance standards.

“You get what you pay for,” is the general rule of thumb here and cheap hosting is cheap hosting.

Do you handle ongoing maintenance and updates?

Websites require consistent maintenance to stay secure, functional, and compliant. I offer website maintenance plans after 30-days of complimentary support which include: regular security updates, performance monitoring, backup management, and accessibility audits.

I also provide priority support for urgent issues and help with content updates when your team needs assistance.

How much content do I need to write myself – do I need to write a lot of blog posts?

That depends on how much help you want.

A focused set of service pages and FAQ content will do more for your search visibility than a dozen generic wellness articles. If you want to write blog posts, I can help you with content guidelines and manageable SEO strategies. We can also talk about other options like video blogs if you aren’t a writer.

For service pages, some clients provide rough notes and I handle the writing. Others write their own copy and I edit for clarity and structure. We’ll figure out what works for you before we start.

Can we connect my existing booking tool to the new site?

Yes. Most booking systems (Jane, Acuity, Mindbody, Square Appointments, and others) have embed options or direct links that work well on WordPress. We’ll figure out the cleanest way to connect your booking flow during the planning phase.

Do you offer ongoing help after launch?

Yes! Monthly or annual site maintenance subscriptions are offered. Additional support is available for updates, small improvements, and questions. No long-term contracts required.

I’ve been burned by SEO agencies. How is this different?

I don’t do ongoing SEO retainers. Instead, I build a site with strong structural SEO from the start, help you develop a realistic content plan, and teach you what you need to maintain it. You’ll always know what’s happening with your site and why.

Can you help me update my branding or photos, or do I need those in place first?

You don’t need a full brand overhaul to start. I can work with your existing colors, fonts, and photos, and we can refine from there. If your photos are genuinely holding the site back, I’ll say so and can point you toward what would help most but I won’t push you into a bigger project than you need.

What if I want to add new services or practitioners later?

WordPress makes it straightforward to add pages, update service details, and expand your site as your practice grows. I’ll build with that in mind from the start. I’ll show you how to make those updates yourself.
