Health and Healing Therapy

Project Overview

Built with WordPress, the Health and Healing Therapy website was reliant on WP Bakery Builder which was creating performance issues and a lack of global styles. Content was also increasingly difficult to maintain. In addition, there was a LOT of older content which was over-optimized to the point that it had become nonsensical (for example, image alt text stuffed with keywords, page URLs stuffed with keywords, multiple pages competing for the same keyword, etc).

• We unraveled this ball of yarn in a series of content inventory spreadsheets and carefully planned the new site architecture.
• A custom post type for team members was created with a custom taxonomy structure that mapped to specialties, populations, and approaches. We also created author archives for blog writers that connected to therapist profiles.
• Our work together resolved over 70 automated accessibility errors on the home page alone.
